Armed Forces Day (India)

Yesterday, 7th December, was India's "Armed Forced Flag Day". Constituted on 7th December 1949, this day is dedicated towards collection of funds from people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. The idea behind observing a Flag Day was to distribute small flags to the general population and in return collect donations.
The Flag day is mainly observed to serve three basic purposes : Rehabilitation of battle casualties, welfare of serving personnel and their families and resettlement and welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.

Salute to the Indian Armed Forces on this occasion!
Once we have a war there is only one thing to do. It must be won. For defeat brings worse things than any that can ever happen in war.

By the way, my personal blog is listed below. By personal, I mean it's about my others passions like writing, photography, literature, travel and philosophy. This blog is more focused, and will only contain military matters.
